Marine and Outdoors are excited to announce our partnership with Extreme Boats
Extreme Boats is a highly respected New Zealand boatbuilder, renowned for producing premium plate aluminium boats that deliver confidence, performance, and longevity on the water.
Founded in Whakatāne in 1998 by Glenn and Diane Shaw, the brand has been a leader in the New Zealand marine industry for more than 25 years. With a recent change of ownership, Extreme Boats is now led by James Horman, a familiar and well-regarded name in the marine industry, alongside fellow shareholders and long-standing team members, continuing the brand’s strong direction and reputation.
The Extreme Boats range spans models from 4m through to 11m, including walk-arounds, centre consoles, sport fishers and game boats. Each is designed and built with a strong focus on stability, sea-handling and ride comfort, whether cruising locally or heading further offshore.
The team at Extreme Boats not only build them, they use them. This dedication to real world experience and understanding what is required to not only perform and look great, but also be functional is an ethos that really resonated with us here at Marine and Outdoors.
Now representing Extreme Boats across Marlborough, Nelson, West Coast and Kaikōura, we see this range as a natural fit for the demands of our local conditions – from sheltered bays through to exposed coastal runs. Extreme allows us to offer more options for our customers and complement our pontoon offering in Senator.
The level of finish and workmanship throughout the Extreme range stood out to us immediately, with every boat built end-to-end in-house and finished with care and attention to detail. That commitment to quality and pride in the final product closely reflects the standards we also set ourselves.
We have a selection of models due on the yard from March 2026, starting with the 646 Game King and 696 Game King. Enquiries are now welcomed for factory builds, and an official launch event is planned for later in the year.
